James Harrison

James is an experienced Marine Geophysicist, bringing 12 years’ experience across both Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas sectors.

Since completing an MSc in Structural Geology with Geophysics, James has demonstrated success in the execution and leadership of geophysical acquisition, QC, processing, interpretation and reporting.

James has performed senior and leadership roles both onboard geophysical survey vessels and onshore, managing geophysical projects and providing geophysical technical coaching.

Outside of work, James enjoys playing football, golf and walking his dog. James is also currently studying the Strategic Leadership short course from Robert Gordon University in his spare time.

Experience summary:

• Acquisition, QC, processing, interpretation and reporting of geophysical datasets including; 2D Ultra High Resolution Seismic, Sub Bottom Profiler, Side Scan Sonar and magnetometer for Offshore Wind Farm, Cable Route and UXO marine surveys.
• Optimisation and acquisition of 3D, 4D and OBN seismic surveys.
• Line management of a geophysical team.
• Report and deliverable co-ordination.
• Project management.
• Technical reporting and standards.
• Software Experience: SonarWiz, Oasis Montaj, Kingdom, QGIS, ArcGIS.
